Berry Care Tips

Chill

Berries should be stored in the refrigerator and will keep
for several days depending on the variety and/or the weather and humidity.

Rinse

If you wish to rinse before using, do so right before you are ready to use them. Rinse berries by floating them in water then gently transfer
to a colander or paper towels to remove moisture.

De-stem

De-stem your berries after rinsing and they will stay firmer (with the exception of raspberries, which naturally lose their stem when picked).

Use or Freeze

Berries can be frozen in a single layer on a cookie sheet
then packed in freezer bags or containers once firm enough to handle.

A word about our ‘No Spray’ berries

Our berries are grown without the use of chemical sprays, including both the foliage and fruit. This means there is literally nothing on the fruit (except maybe a little dust!) Rinsing our fruit is still important due to sanitary reasons and hand-washing is always recommended prior to picking.
