Our fresh Oregon hazelnuts are locally grown and available seasonally beginning in mid-November.  They are pre-cracked and packaged with their shells…simply sort out the shells and you will be rewarded with delicious, raw hazelnuts.  Raw hazelnuts are best when roasted and used in baked goods, salads or snack mixes.  To roast:  place in single layer on baking pan and toast for 10-15 minutes at 350 degrees.  Remove from oven and place on kitchen towel.  Fold towel over the nuts and let steam for a minute or so, then gently rub between towel layers to remove skins.  Enjoy!
